Australia’s first Ethical Wedding Fair | As seen on NBN news

This weekend saw the birth of a new kind of Bridal Expo, one which we believe is the way of the future. For the minimalist at heart, Australia’s first Ethical Wedding Fair held on the Central Coast, spoke to people from as far away as the Blue Mountains. Miles removed from the consumerist nature of traditional wedding expos, the Ethical Wedding Fair exuded calm, connection and meaning.

We were blessed to have Lenka Couture, Australia’s first ethically accredited Bridal Designer showcasing her swoon-worthy Sustainable Collection, as well as a range of cruelty-free, plant-based, up-cycled and relationship focussed suppliers. This wedding fair appealed to those who favour experiences over stuff, and wish to tread lightly on our earth with their wedding. We even made the news!

A big thank-you to everyone who attended, pitched in and contributed even from afar, this event was truly powered by community spirit. We’ve got our sights set on a Sydney fair next, where our aim will be to maintain the relaxed and connected atmosphere of the first.

Please return the good karma to those that supported us on the day, particularly Crocq Music, Wild at Heart Photography and our picturesque venue Alison Homestead. For a full vendor list, please check back in a few days as we add everyone to our directory. If you’d like to be involved with our fairs in the future, we’d love to hear from you!

Till next time!
